Sinopsis
Kapten Tsubasa adalah kisah bergairah dari seorang siswa sekolah dasar yang asumsi dan mimpinya nyaris seluruhnya berkisar terhadap cinta sepak bola. Tsubasa Oozora, 11 tahun, terasa bermain sepak bola terhadap usia yang terlalu muda, dan walaupun sebagian besar hanya olahraga rekreasi untuk teman-temannya, baginya, itu berkembang menjadi suatu hal yang obsesi.

Untuk mengejar impiannya bersama kekuatan terbaiknya di sekolah dasar, Tsubasa tukar bersama ibunya ke kota Nankatsu, yang tenar bersama tim sepak bola sekolah dasar yang terlalu baik. Tetapi walaupun ia bersama gampang menjadi yang paling baik di kota lamanya, Nankatsu memiliki lebih banyak kompetisi, dan ia akan memerlukan seluruh keterampilan dan bakatnya untuk berdiri muncul dari kerumunan baru ini.
